- Email one-time codes expire and are rate-limited by the authentication platform.
- Passkeys use your device's fingerprint, face, PIN or screen lock and are resistant to phishing.
- Business access is rechecked on every protected request; removing a team member removes their business access without needing to know their password.

Use at least one passkey on a device you control. You can register more than one so you have a backup.
Account safety checklist
- Do not share emailed sign-in codes or owner PINs.
- Use individual team accounts instead of sharing one login.
- Remove staff access promptly when someone leaves the business.
- Use the minimum team role needed: viewer, staff, manager or owner.
- Review unexpected Trade Network files before opening them outside Maine Stockroom.
